MIC GMP#6 – Central Station, Rail Node & East Concourse

The Miami Intermodal Center for the Miami International Airport is a four story 350,000 square foot facility that includes roadways, site work, bridges, along with a 3.4 million square foot rental car facility which houses approximately 7,000 vehicles.

Additional work elements include construction of an elevated people mover station that shuttles Miami International Airport users to the new facility. The project which is located across from the airport terminals also includes a 100,000 square foot customer service lobby, with retail and office space for up to 20 rental car companies.

This facility has car return areas on the lower three floors that include 120 fuel positions and 42 wash bays for car maintenance, fueling and washing before being returned to the parking area for new customers.

Dash Door’s Contract Hardware Group furnished and installed the hollow metal door and associated hardware package for the Central Station, Rail Node and East Concourse Buildings.  Dash Door’s Glass & Glazing Group provided fixed glass windows and storefront doors at the MIC Manager’s Office.
