Balans Cafe Bar and Restaurant in Mary Brickell Village, Miami is a modern brasserie-cafe. Dash Door’s Glass & Glazing and Specialty Service Groups were retained to create a unique restroom configuration utilizing the latest in electrified / switchable privacy glass technology – Dash Door’s own PrivacyVue® product line.
Dash Door developed and utilized the PrivacyVue® customized electrified patch lock which served as the switch to turn the glass “ON” and “OFF” for restroom privacy. A customer simply enters the restroom and flips the custom patch lock thumb-turn causing the all glass door and glass sidelite to instantly turn opaque for privacy. A total of four restroom-fronts were installed with this unique application.
