New World Symphony – Hold Open Fire Doors

The performance hall fire doors at Gehry Partner’s designed New World Symphony incorporates a complex sequence of operations.  Dash Door & Glass was contacted to furnish, install and integrate new automatic operators in tandem with a custom access / control logic design providing the following features at multiple door locations:

• Hold-Open Switch
• Integration with Fire-Alarm System to disengage Hold-Open if required
• Push-and-Go feature permitting automatic door operation upon pushing the electrified panic device
• Coordination of door closing sequence to ensure inactive leaf closed first for required fire-door sealing
• Electric unlatching of panic devices for any automatic or hold-open request
