Astro-Fold Electro-Mechanical Automatic Door Packages are available as follows:
Astro-Fold automatic folding door package is an ideal answer wherever you desire a wide, quick openingto accommodate high volume traffic with utmost convenience of entry. Astro-Fold is use to retro-fit entrances with existing manual pairs of doors. Astro-Fold is also designed to for new construction.

Available in: Overhead Concealed, Surface Applied or Hospital Corridor packages.

Bi-folding pair (FS-1, FX-2, FS-2) include two doors and two panels
Bi-folding single right hand (FS-1, FX-1) and left hand (FS-2, FX-2) include one door and one panel.

The unique Dor-O-Matic door system operates with smooth, swing-type action and allows adjustable opening and closing speed. Our proven Astro-Swing full size heavy duty door operator is used in Astro-Fold, while others use their small "light-duty" operator. Each folding door section parts at the same time and closes at the same time. Door-folding points and jamb pivot points are provided with 1" vinyl finger guards. Dor-O-Matic's unique concealed "radial thrust" bearings at the top of the folding panes provide extra heavy duty pivoting for trouble free operation. No floor track or threshold is required. Thus 100% of the floor space is clear. When the doors of an 8'-0" corridor package are fully open, Astro-Fold provides a clear-span entry way 5'-10" wide for two-way traffic.

Technical Support

Dash Door & Closer Service will furnish al labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for completion of all Dor-O-Matic Automatic Folding Door Packages, including door(s), panel(s), jambs and electro-mechanical operators. Specify Dor-O-Matic Series No. 65000 for: (overhead concealed) (surface applied) (hospital corridor) application.

Micro processor control box shall completely eliminate any rotary cam mechanism or door position switches along the header. Speed controls shall be adjustable for opening speed and closing speed. An adjustable time delay shall provide from one (1) to thirty (30) seconds of door hold open. Micro processor control box shall have a safety reverse feature as standard. The safety reverse function shall automatically reverse the folding door to the full open position should a person or object be encountered during the closing cycle. Adjustable ball/detent system shall permit full code compliance for manual breakout of either or both door sections at any point of travel.

All folding door packages shall be equipped with two (2) horizontal safety beams and a "Look-See" Threshold Sensor. Activating controls shall be by Dor-O-Matic's Astro-Scan motion detectors on both sides. (Push Plate operation is also available.)

Codes & Certification

Complies with N.F.P.A. #101 Life Safety Code 1991, for emergency egress (breakout), also, Astro-Fold Door has been accepted by Metropolitan Dade County Florida Board of Rules and Appeals for windload, and Air Infiltration.

Limited Warranty

Automatic folding door package shall be warranted for one (1) year from date of installation.
